Yearly Program

Lawn & Grass Care

Throughout the year, we recommend a variety of grass care programs tailored to suit your lawn and personal requirements. Not all services we can provide are required, and some only on a biannual basis. Whether a one off treatment or a yearly program, our turf specialists will analyse your lawn requirements and detail the program best suited to your needs. There is no requirement to sign a yearly contract and the costs are tailored based on seasonal variation, supplying a detailed recommendation of treatments needed.

Spring, March - May

• Moss treatments to eradicate any moss that has formed over the winter periods from prolonged spells of wet weather and poor air circulation.
• Selective weed treatments to eradicate any weeds that may have seeded and germinated over the winter.
• Scarify the grass to remove the build up of winter thatch and moss eradicated in the first treatment of the year.
• Hollow tine aeration removing 4-inch cores to allow better air circulation, nutrients, drainage and de-compaction within the grass.
• Top dress the lawn if required with a variety of lawn dressings.
• Application of spring based fertilizer to invigorate the lawn helping the grass to recover from the winter months, adding vitality, stem growth, and colour.

Summer, June – September

• Apply a summer based granular fertilizer which offers drought resistance, strong colour and well needed nutrients lost through strong sunlight absorption
• Liquid tonic application of FE (iron) or seaweed to add colour to the stem
• Spray weeds if required

Autumn, October – November

• Moss treatments to eradicate any moss that has formed
• Selective weed treatments to eradicate any weeds that may have seeded and germinated over the summer
• Scarify the grass to remove the build up of thatch and moss.
• Hollow tine aeration removing 4-inch cores to allow better air circulation, nutrients, drainage and de-compaction within the grass
• Top dress the lawn if required with a variety of lawn dressings
• Application of Autumn based fertilizer to invigorate the lawn, help the grass to settle and encourage disease resistance over the winter

  Did you know 85% of the worms vital to the ecology of our gardens do not leave worm casts? The remaining 15% do not aid in the breakdown of material and therefore can be removed from lawns.

Compaction

Our compaction meter takes a reading of the compaction levels, allowing us to see how much, if any, hollow tine aeration may be needed.

Core Samples

With our sophisticated equipment, we can analyse a core sample of your lawn, this shows thatch build up, soil layers, and root growth. Helping us to gain a greater knowledge of the soil makeup and the treatments required.

Testing pH Levels

We can test the ph of the soil to see the level of alkaline or acidity within the turf structure and then advise on the best treatments.
