Hollow Tine Aeration operations are carried out on lawns with poor drainage, compaction, moss & weed problems and poor nutrient uptake, there is also a greater need to allow air through to the root system of the grass. Over time these factors will result in a poor lawn, which will require some form of treatment.
With the use of hollow tine aeration these problems can be resolved simply and effectively and generally only requires this type of operation every 2 - 3 years, depending on the type of soil your garden sits on. However, we recommend some form of aeration every year, such as spiking or slitting that helps the development of the lawn and reduces drainage problems and compaction.
