Over Seeding

Lawn & Grass Care

Over seeding is a procedure for seeding lawns which have been heavily scarified and results in bare areas forming through the removal of moss, weeds and other matter such as thatch. Over seeding is also carried out on other scuffed and bare areas on a lawn that suffer from extensive use or are neglected over time.

The procedure used to rectify bare areas is quite simply, we use a variety of equipment that creates small pockets within the soil, grass seed is then sown through mechanical means or by hand. These small pockets are then rolled or a top dressing is applied to allow better rooting and left to germinate with a suitable fertilizer applied as required.

Over seeding is an effective and economical method of renovating a lawn of any size and can be carried out with other renovation strategies within or Lawn & Grass Care program.
